A 44-year-old East Naples woman was arrested Tuesday in connection with a July burglary after detectives received fingerprint evidence from the scene.

A man who lives at an apartment at 150 Santa Clara Drive said he came home July 21 and found his window broken and his front door unlocked. A witness told Collier deputies she heard a woman she knew as Texas Arlyn Stready knocking on the door and a window breaking, according to an arrest report.

An iPod and an iPod charging station worth an estimated $600 were taken from the home, deputies said.

Investigators later received forensic evidence from the scene identifying Stready's fingerprint on the window, the report said. Stready first told detectives she knew nothing about the burglary, but after learning about the fingerprint, she said she had been at the home but did not know about a broken window.

Stready, of the 100 block of Santa Clara Drive, faces charges of grand theft and burglary.
