63-year-old motorcyclist struck by school bus in Golden Gate Estates

— A 63-year-old man was taken to a Naples hospital in serious condition Friday morning after being hit by a bus while riding his motorcycle.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Robert Kent Adler was driving south on Victory Lane near Palmetto Ridge High School whe a bus driver Maria Eugenia Fuentes was turning north. Fuentes struck the 2010 Harley-Davidson Triglide, causing it to turn over onto its left side, a report said.

Adler was taken to NCH Downtown Hospital in serious condition. Fuentes was cited for failure to drive in a designated lane.

The wreck happened on Palmetto Ridge property during the refueling process, troopers said. There were no passengers on the bus.
