Naples Park man arrested in house showing attack
A house showing turned ugly in Naples Park when a resident attacked the homeowner with a knife Friday night, sheriff's reports state.
Richard Sheeran, 53, of the 800 block of 95th Avenue North, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
The homeowner, 41, told Collier County deputies he was parked around 6 p.m. in the driveway of the home in which Sheeran was living. The man told deputies he recently bought the home that was in a "short sale" and the previous owners still occupied it, even though they had been served notice to vacate.
The man said he was planning to show the home to a potential buyer when Sheeran chased him with a knife. He said he entered his GMC Yukon and Sheeran cut a rear tire. The victim's 39-year-old wife and 13-year-old son were inside the vehicle and witnessed the confrontation, deputies reported.
He told deputies he drove to a nearby business and called deputies, who arrested Sheeran at the home.
Richard W. Daniel, 50, of the 1400 block of San Marcos Blvd., East Naples, was arrested Friday by Collier County sheriff's deputies on Davis Boulevard near Whitten Drive.
Carlos A. Mendez, 19, of the 5200 block of Hardee Street, East Naples, was arrested Friday by Collier sheriff's deputies at Collier Boulevard and Golden Gate Parkway.
Laleh L. Rayga, 26, of the 5900 block of Green Boulevard, East Naples, was arrested Saturday by Collier sheriff's deputies at U.S. 41 North and Immokalee Road.
Jonel Josapha, 40, of the 11000 block of Whistler's Cove Circle, East Naples, was arrested Saturday by Collier sheriff's deputies at Whistler's Cove Apartments. Josapha also was charged with DUI property damage, three counts of damage to property and two counts each of leaving the scene of a crash and assault on a law enforcement officer.
