A man and a woman from East Naples are accused of robbing their friends at gunpoint Sunday.

William Vicente Jr., 23, was one of three people in a car driving to Golden Gate Estates, according to an arrest report. They were following two other vehicles. All three vehicles pulled over at Golden Gate Boulevard and Ninth Street Northwest, reports said.

Vicente Jr. got in the back seat of the female driver's car, held a gun to the male passenger's head and demanded all of his belongings, the report said. Moments later, Kimberly Michelle Ham, 23, who was driving one of the other vehicles, got into the back seat on the other side and slammed the female driver's head back and forth, according to deputies.

Another man who came up to the car punched the male passenger in the face, a report said. The passenger told deputies he thought he and the woman driving the car were going to die.

The male victim said he had been friends with Vicente for about five years and thought "we were boys."

The driver eventually hit the gas pedal and crashed the vehicle. Detectives weren't able to find the suspects immediately, but arrested Vicente and Ham on Wednesday.

Vicente, of the 8600 block of Saddlebrook Circle, faces a charge of armed robbery. Ham, of the same address, faces charges of armed robbery and battery.
