John R. Wood Realtors has announced changes and staff updates at some of its Southwest Florida offices.

Lynette Grout has earned the Certified International Property Specialist designation through the National Association of Realtors. The designation is synonymous with advanced expertise, a global perspective and distinct understanding of a global/international buyer.

Also, Lana Marvelle and Suzanne H. Klym have joined John R. Wood at its central office as sales associates.

Marvelle holds a bachelor's degree from Rhode Island College and Klym earned a bachelor's degree from Purdue University.

Forum on giving is Friday

The Everglades Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Greater Naples Area Planned Giving Council will present a forum — "Recent Trends in Giving" — from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Hilton Naples.

Una Okonkwo Osili, Ph.D., director of research at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, will review trends based on Giving USA 2012 and examine key research findings by the Center on Philanthropy. Registration is available at cdillon@healthcareswfl.org.

Magazine to have 'ask insurance agent' section

The December issue of Gulfshore Business magazine will contain the special section called Ask the Insurance Agent.

Status of radio industry topic at forum

Beasley Broadcast Group will conduct a panel discussion on the status of the radio industry at the Florida Public Relations Association Southwest Florida Chapter's monthly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater, 1380 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.

Featured speakers are Robert Hallman, Dawn Krause and AJ Lurie, who will discuss the evolution of the radio industry over the last five years, the nature of the Southwest Florida market and how public relations and marketing professionals can best utilize radio in their businesses and organizations. Cost is $20 for members,
