Chokoloskee man accused of threatening to kill a man

A 32-year-old Chokoloskee man is accused of threatening to kill another man with a knife after he was told he wasn't welcome at his home Wednesday, Collier County deputies said.

Around 8 p.m., witnesses said Erich "Flash" Schildgen showed up to a home on the 300 block of Smallwood Drive "in a drunken state, carrying a six-pack of beer," according to an arrest report.

When the home's resident told him to leave, Schildgen punched the man, jammed his head into the hood of a car, threw a beer bottle at a window pane, pulled a knife and threatened to kill the man, a report stated.

Schildgen left the home after the victim picked up a hammer, deputies said. He was arrested at a home on Rewis Drive around 8:30 p.m.

Schildgen faces charges of battery, criminal mischief, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and shooting a missile into a dwelling.
