Police beat: Sept. 28, 2012

DUI arrests

John Anthony Tracz, 67, of the 200 block of Hollywood Lane, East Naples, was arrested Thursday by Collier deputies at the intersection of Cottonwood Lane and Palm Haven Boulevard. He faces an additional misdemeanor charge of failure to register a motor vehicle.

Mohammad I. Afaneh, 31, of Davie, was arrested Thursday by Florida Highway Patrol troopers at mile marker 90 of westbound Interstate 75. He also was accused of possessing marijuana and Xanax.

Clive Alexander Browne, 64, of the 10 block of Palm Boulevard, Lehigh Acres, was arrested Thursday by Florida Highway Patrol troopers at mile marker 80 of westbound Interstate 75. He faces an additional charge of failure to obey an officer's order to stop.

Justin Gregory Conant, 22, of the 18000 block of Hemlock Road, Fort Myers, was arrested Thursday by Naples police at 990 Ninth Street South. He faces an additional charge of second refusal to submit a breath, blood or urine test.

Grand theft arrest

Johnny Romero-Santana, 48, of the 2100 block of 55th Terrace Southwest, Golden Gate, was arrested Thursday by Collier deputies at his home. He is accused of stealing a credit card, $114 and a gold diamond ring from a woman's home. He faces an additional charge of dealing in stolen property.

Fraud arrest

Michelle Rae Martin, 41, of the 22000 block of Isola Verdi Way, Estero, was arrested Wednesday by Collier deputies at 3319 U.S. 41 East. She is accused of stealing a woman's credit card.

Drug arrest

Sean Michael O'Connell, 42, of the 3300 block of Timberwood Circle, East Naples, was arrested Wednesday by Collier deputies at his home. He is accused of stealing pills from an acquaintance's house. He faces additional charges of burglary and petit theft.
