FHP seeks public’s help in East Naples hit-and-run that killed bicyclist

— The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run fatal crash that killed a 48-year-old bicyclist Saturday morning in East Naples.

The FHP identified the victim as Robin Virginia Wallace, 48, of the Naples area.

The accident at Estey Avenue and Embassy Lane in the Brookside neighborhood of East Naples involved an unknown vehicle that hit the bicyclist and left the scene, the FHP said in a press release.

The bicyclist died when hit around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, the FHP said.

The vehicle’s make, model and color, and direction of travel, weren’t immediately known, but the vehicle will have front-end damage, an FHP report said.

The FHP asked that anyone with information contact the agency at 239-938-1800 or 239-344-1730.
