Prep swimming: Seven Gulf Coast swimmers named Academic All-Americans

Seven Gulf Coast High School swimmers and divers have been named to the prestigious Speedo National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches of America (NISCA) 2012-2013 Academic All-America Team.

Ryan Andrade, Yonatan Cinader, Marcello Marsalli, Nicholas Matson, Joseph Zane McHarris, Sara Osinski, and Jack Wilson were this year’s recipients.

This gives Gulf Coast High School a total of 68 swimmers and divers who have earned this award.

The criteria are to maintain a weighted grade-point average of 4.000 or higher for 3½ years of high school, and earn a varsity letter in swimming during the athlete’s senior year.
