A North Naples man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a sexual assault that happened last April.
The victim told Collier County sheriff’s deputies she was catching up with Roberto Chang-Castillo, an acquaintance, at her home last year. When Chang-Castillo said he was too drunk to drive home, she offered to let him sleep on her couch, according to an incident report.
Instead, Chang-Castillo followed the woman into her bedroom, pinned her arms back and raped her, despite the woman’s cries and pleas to stop, deputies reported. The woman was unable to push him off her and after five or 10 minutes, Chang-Castillo got up and left, she said.
The woman’s clothes, as well as jewelry belonging to Chang-Castillo, were taken into evidence, reports said.
Deputies located Chang-Castillo on Tuesday and placed him under arrest on a warrant accusing him of sexual battery.
Chang-Castillo, of the 1100 block of Turtle Creek Drive, remains at the Naples Jail Center on a $50,000 bond, according to jail records.
