Florida Gulf Coast University got a mention this past weekend during a skit on “Saturday Night Live.”

First FGCU put Fort Myers, or should we say Dunk City, on the map with its high-flying NCAA tournament run. But the school has officially made the big time. It got a mention this past weekend during a skit on “Saturday Night Live.”

During the skit, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, played by actor Bobby Moynihan, says he was doing well in his NCAA tournament pool. He said he correctly predicted the Final Four, the Elite 8 and the Sweet 16.

“Some of you may have not seen Florida Gulf Coast University and Wichita State coming,” he says in the skit meant to be an address to the country, “but I did with uncanny vision and heroic foresight. Applaud now.”
