Tuesday morning will start off nice and mild with temperatures in the lower to middle 60s with just a few high, wispy clouds. Sunshine will be in control for most of the morning and through the midday hours, with a few patchy clouds developing during the heat of the afternoon.
As winds become a bit more southerly, warm air will surge into the area, causing afternoon temperatures to climb into the upper 80s. This means some of our inland hot spots will be flirting with 90-degree readings. Through the evening, skies will stay mostly clear and temperatures will be slow to fall.
By Wednesday morning, expect a muggier feel to the air as we start the day with readings in the upper 60s. High pressure will remain anchored in the Atlantic with winds continuing to pump in a very warm and humid air mass, which will give our afternoons a summer-like feel.
By the weekend, we'll be tracking a cold front and rain closing in on the Florida peninsula.
