Is that a bear in the air?
The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting a speed enforcement detail utilizing aircraft Friday along Interstate 75 in Collier and Lee counties.
“FHP is committed to promoting safety for motorists using the public highways and to provide a deterrent for those who violate laws that regulate and control motor vehicle traffic,” Lt. Gregory S. Bueno reports in a news release.
Inclement weather may prevent the multi-county operation from occurring, the FHP reports. In addition to Collier and Lee, FHP aircraft are monitoring the interstate in Sarasota County.
