Deputies unable to nab Palm River burglar

Deputies closely monitored everyone going in and out of a North Naples neighborhood Tuesday morning after a burglar broke into a house while a resident was still there.

The break-in was reported just before 11 a.m. at 150 Old Tamiami Trail, near Cocohatchee Drive in the Palm River community. The burglar bolted after realizing someone was in the home, according to the Collier County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies set up a perimeter around the neighborhood for about two hours but were unable to locate a suspect.
