Report: FGCU assistant Kevin Norris to join Enfield at USC

Building Dunk City: The Rise of the Eagles

Gary Parrish of CBS reported Tuesday that Florida Gulf Coast University assistant Kevin Norris will join former Eagles coach Andy Enfield's staff at USC.

Norris, 38, was with Enfield for both FGCU seasons as the Eagles went 41-28 overall and into this year's Sweet 16.

Enfield accepted the USC job three days after FGCU lost against Florida in the Elite Eight.

Previously Norris was an assistant at UNC Wilmington after spending two years at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He began coaching at Tallahassee Community College in 2007.

Norris was the only player in Miami history to lead the Hurricanes in assists four straight seasons and he led his team to the NCAA tournament as a senior in 1998. He holds the school record for steals (208) and is second with 493 assists.

He was Enfield's first hire at FGCU.
