Passenger traffic increased by 8.9 percent in March, compared to the previous year, at Southwest Florida International Airport.
Last month, more than 1.1 million passengers traveled through the airport. The traffic leader in March was Delta with 239,557 passengers traveling to and from Fort Myers. Rounding out the top five airlines were AirTran (185,938), Southwest (140,885), US Airways (112,912) and JetBlue (110,484).
Southwest Florida International Airport had 10,484 takeoffs and landings, an increase of 5.2 percent compared to March 2012.
In addition, slightly more than 3 million pounds of air freight moved through the airport in March, an increase of 4.4 percent compared to March 2012.
The airport served more than 7.3 million passengers in 2012 and is one of the top 50 U.S. airports for passenger traffic. Information: ww.flylcpa.com
Keller Williams holds annual Red Day
Keller Williams Elite Realty in Bonita Springs on May 9 will hold its annual Red Day event, which is a national initiative dedicated to celebrating Keller Williams Elite Realty’s year-round commitment to improving local communities.
This year, the staff will celebrate by distributing food to Café of Life clients in the morning, pressure washing the Café of Life building, and then giving the building, on Old 41 Road, between Reynolds and Childers, a new coat of paint.
Café of Life — founded in 1998 — has become a fixture in Bonita Springs, serving lunch Monday through Friday to individuals and families from all walks of life.
Morrison new partner in law firm
David N. Morrison has joined the law firm of Quarles & Brady as a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group in its Naples office.
Morrison formerly was a partner at Wilson & Johnson in Naples. His practices include the representation of financial institutions, entities and individuals in buying, selling and financing real and personal property throughout Florida.
He received his master’s law degree from the University of Miami Law School, his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.
