FGCU men's golf in seventh at A-Sun Championship

FGCU men still well back at A-Sun tourney

The Florida Gulf Coast University men’s golf team grabbed a share of seventh place on Day 2 of the Atlantic Sun Championships at Legends Course in Chateau Elan, Ga. on Monday.

The Eagles, who sat in eight place on Sunday, shot 311 to reach a two-day score of 624. Lipscomb is currently tied with FGCU, and North Florida, ranked No. 17 by Golfstat, leads the 10-team field with a score of 590.

Freshman Edward Figueroa, a St. John Neumann graduate, shot 72 on the day, moving from thirty-first to tenth on the individual leaderboard. He has a total score of 151 after two days of play.

FGCU will complete the final round of play today with an 8 a.m. tee-off time.
