The Florida Gulf Coast University baseball team fell to Bethune-Cookman in extra innings on Wednesday night at Swanson Stadium.
The Eagles (22-16) rallied back twice in the game, but came up empty in the tenth inning.
Down 4-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning, FGCU benefitted from Bethune-Cookman pitching errors. Two walks and two players hit by a pitch resulted in four Eagle runs, tying the game.
The Wildcats (28-19) charged back with three runs in the fifth inning before Brandon Bednar scored an RBI single in the seventh inning.
Bethune-Cookman left fielder Josh Johnson put the game away in the tenth inning with a double along the left field line.
FGCU will continue its eight-game home stint on Friday against Northern Kentucky at 6:30 p.m.
