— A Miami man was jailed following a three-car crash Saturday night on Interstate 75.

Marcelo Alberto Segoria Barahona, 32, was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol troopers at I-75 near mile marker 100. He faces charges of DUI, property damage and operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

A witness told troopers Segoria Barahona’s blue car was driving north on the interstate at high speeds when it struck a white van, an FHP report said.

Segoria Barahona and his passenger were transported to an area hospital, and while he was there, Segoria Barahona told troopers he recently became part owner of a Coconut Grove bar and was driving in a hurry to get to his friend’s house in Naples to continue celebrating, the report said.
