SW Florida weather: Change in pattern means dry morning

After several days of early morning coastal downpours, a change in our weather pattern is expected Wednesday. Hot and humid weather will remain in the forecast with highs near normal and mainly afternoon storms.

Wednesday will get off to a brighter start with more sunshine and less rain. Temperatures will be quite warm, as well, with readings in the upper 70s for most locations. The first half of the day will remain dry with clouds building throughout the afternoon as temperatures climb into the lower 90s. This will lead to a scattering of showers and storms late in the day, which will favor the west coast.

Tonight, leftover rain will eventually push out over the Gulf waters and our skies will clear overnight. Temperatures will settle into the middle and upper 70s by morning making for another muggy start to Thursday.
