A.M UPDATE -
There is an area of disturbed weather in the northwestern Caribbean that has our attention this morning. Conditions for today and the next few days are conducive to development and the National Hurricane Center has given this one a medium chance (60%) of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 5 days.
This will be the main factor in our weather for today and tomorrow, even though none of the computer models bring this system in our direction. As this tropical system passes crosses the Yucatan Peninsula, and then moves into the Gulf of Mexico, it will send lots of tropical moisture our way.
Some models take this system more northward toward Louisiana while most take it more westward toward Texas or Mexico. Either way, it is not headed toward Southwest Florida. However with this system in the Gulf, tropical moisture will lead to off and on downpours and lots of clouds through the day today and right on into tomorrow.
