Marco Island traffic alert: Detour for North Collier Boulevard and Yellowbird

The intersection of North Collier Boulevard and Yellowbird will be closed to allow for the removal and replacement of the failing storm drain crossing pipe.

The city’s contractor will begin day time lane closures and day time detours beginning Wednesday. The contractor will also be doing preliminary work in the area today with minor lane closures.

According to a press release, “barring any unforeseen obstacles this work can be completed within seven days.”

Law enforcement officers will assist in traffic control at the intersection of Collier and Barfield and at the intersection of Elkcam Circle and Collier.
