Bundle up this week: The forecast is tracking rain and then some cooler air

Weather forecast for Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

Weather forecast for Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

After seeing near-record warmth Saturday, we have another cold front moving into Southwest Florida today, which will lead us into another cool spell in the days ahead.

Before temperatures get cooler, however, we'll have some rain to track through the morning, and a few of these may be on the heavier side. The good news for those of you with outdoor plans, though, is the rain will stay fairly scattered, and most of it will push south of the areas by the afternoon.

Overall, our rain chance Sunday will be around 40%, so it's definitely nothing to cancel any plans over.

Clouds should be plentiful today as the front passes through, but we're optimistic that some rays of sun will break through the clouds later in the afternoon.
