It is another cool morning in Southwest Florida, but this afternoon will be warmer. Our winds are going to turn easterly at 5 to 10 mph and bring warmer conditions along with a few clouds.

Sunshine will still win out over the clouds, though. Highs this afternoon will be near 80 degrees. Tonight, the lows will drop only into the lower 60s in more urban locations to the mid 50s in inland cold spots.

Starting Friday, a southeasterly turn on the winds will do a few things. It will send in warm air, helping our afternoon highs to warm into the mid 80s by this weekend. It also sends in more humidity, which will make for warmer overnights and stickier days this weekend.

Our next front is poised to arrive on Tuesday, Christmas Eve.
