After tying record highs Saturday, Southwest Florida is on track to reach record territory again today as temperatures quickly climb into the mid to upper 80s.

The current record high is 86 degrees, which was set back in 1990, and the area should come close to matching or beating that number this afternoon.

Like yesterday, there will be plenty of sunshine and not much of a rain chance. Winds will stay southeasterly throughout the day, keeping humidity levels on the higher side.
