Letter to the Editor: Setting the record straight

In my careless haste to meet deadlines, I erred in reporting AWOL councilors at the Marriott public meeting on Dec. 2.

Thus, sincere apologies to the five City Councilors who reportedly were in attendance. I certainly regret my gross reporting error in last week’s column referring to “Truth and Transparency” in our local government. I should practice what I preach!

Happy Holidays!

Thanks, Sayre. It's refreshing to see someone step up and taking responsibility in these times. I will have to agree that I saw several of the councilmen at the meeting. I didn't count them, but I know there were several there. It was a well attended presentation. I will have to agree with some of the comments that were made, including some by Herb Savage - the proposed Marriott expansion is not in keeping with the vision for Marco, nor are they in conformance with the City's ordinances, the wishes of the majority of the citizens, or with the PUD they signed.
