We are off to a rather warm and muggy start Monday morning. That warm, humid air combined with light winds will allow for the possibility of patchy fog this morning, especially in the inland areas.
For the past two days, we have tied record high temperatures. Today, we will still be warm, but likely miss the record by a couple of degrees. Temperatures will still reach into the mid 80s across the area with winds from the south around 10 mph. Cloud cover will increase, especially later in the day and we could even get a few stray showers through the evening hours.
A cold front on the way will give us a chance for widely scattered showers during the first half of Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon high temperatures will reach only into the mid 70s. A clearing behind the cold front will lead us to a cooler start to Christmas Day with morning low temperatures into the lower 50s.
