Christmas Eve starts off with an approaching cold front to bring a few morning showers through Southwest Florida. These showers will not last long but they do bring the changes and cooler weather to our region just in time for Christmas.

After the morning showers clear out by midday, the clouds will linger. Cool air will rush in from strong northeast winds this afternoon. Winds will pick up from 15 to 25 mph.

With cloudy skies and a strong wind, it will be hard for temperatures to make it out of the lower 70s this afternoon. Tonight will be our coolest night of the week, and Christmas Day will be mostly dry and cloudy with seasonable highs in the mid 70s.
