Clouds will stay in the forecast for New Year's Eve, with temperatures cooling into the middle 60s by midnight with lower 60s by early morning.

By Wednesday, the stalled front currently to our south will begin to retreat back to the north. This will bring back the mugginess and temperatures in the lower 80s. We'll even see more in the way of sunshine, with an isolated shower or two.

By late Thursday, another weather system will track its way across Florida, bringing with it another round of scattered rain with a few embedded storms. This cold front will sweep away the excess moisture that's been lingering around, allowing for cooler and drier airss to settle overhead, setting the stage for a sunnier weekend, with highs in the mid 70s and a few cool mornings in the 50s.
