Alligator Alley reopens after crash

One westbound lane of Alligator Alley has reopened following a crash shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday.

An SUV hauling a travel trailer was cut off by a tour bus around mile marker 80, causing it to lose control of the trailer, according to Golden Gate battalion chief Dean Anderson.

The trailer overturned but remained attached to the SUV, he said.

Authorities were able to get the SUV off the interstate but are waiting for a tow truck to clear the trailer from the road. No one was injured in the crash, according to Anderson.

The trailer continues to block traffic, and only one westbound lane of Interstate 75 was open as of 11:50 a.m.
