The Ave Maria baseball team slammed home a 16-3 win against Florida Memorial University on Wednesday, February 6.
Ave Maria led 5-1 before scoring six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Gyrenes followed up the offensive-driven fifth inning with five more runs in the next inning.
Keith Ryan (1-0) earned the win for the Gyrenes. He obtained a strikeout and didn't allow a hit while pitching three innings.
The Gyrenes (5-3) will face their first conference opponent of the season, Warner University, on Friday, February 8 at 3 p.m.
