Three teams stay jammed at the top in the Marco Division, while one team holds on to first place by a game in the Island Division.

Brewery, 20, Islander Restaurant, 10
John Cavanagh went 5-for-5 and Jack Martin and Ray Kane tagged four hits each and Lou Wolfenson, Dave Coward and John Remhoff three each in a 27-hit barrage for the Brewery. Kane had six RBI, Martin four, Remhoff and Chuck Reich two. Besides their hitting they turned a senior moment triple play against the Islanders. Rich Small and Ron Hobson stroked three hits each for the Islanders, with Dave Banghart having a triple. Jack Mateja had four RBI, and Jim Williams and Ed Kingsbury two each.
Nacho Mama's, 23, Sasso's, 17
Nacho's cam back from an eight-run disadvantage against Sasso's. Steve Hummel pounded out five hits; Mike Puskar, Paul Vorwick and John Remhoff four each and Rich Krumholz, Gary LaMotte, Grady Fuller, and Rich Schiller had three each in Nacho's 33-hit attack. Krumholz, Vorwick, and Remhoff each smacked triples. Puskar and Fuller each had four RBI, Krumholz and Hummel three, LaMotte and Tom Gazzillo two. John DeRosa had three hits for Sasso's with three RBI as did Jim Gilligan; Mike Endelman, Jimmy Cuevas, Bill Thompson and Art Sinisi had two.
Sand Bar, 30, DaVinci's, 20
Sand Bar hammered out 31 hits with Jim Blankenship and Scott Byers going 5-for-5. John Gross and Wayne Bombaci four each and Nick Jacullo and Jim Rampage having three each in Sand Bar's potent attack. Blankenship had a home run and four RBI, Bombaci, Jacullo, and Rampage knocked out triples. Jacullo and Rampage racked up three RBI each, Jim George and Gross had two each. Craig Cunningham, and Paul Shelton had four hits each for DaVinci's, Tom Angelo and Murph Knapke each added three. Cunningham drove in four runs, Angelo Shelton, and Tom Whitlock two runs each, with Shelton slamming two triples
Sand Bar, 17, Brewery, 7
Sand Bar came out swinging, scoring five runs in the first and never looked back in the win over first-place Brewery. Wayne Bombaci nailed four hits and Jim Blankenship three for the winners. Bombaci and Nick Jacullo ended up with three RBI each. Blankenship, Scott Byers and Jim Rampage each had two. John Cavanagh and Butch Coursen each had three hits and three RBI. John Remhoff cracked a triple.
Nacho Mama's, 13, Islander Restaurant, 4
Nacho's opened the game with five runs and cruised to an easy victory. Mike Puskar and Steve Hummel each had three hits, with Puskar blasting a three-run homer. Puskar ended up with four RBI, Gary LaMotte and winning pitcher George Schnorr had two each. Rich Small drove in all the runs for the Islander.
Sasso's, 21, DaVinci's, 16
Jimmy Cuevas zinged four hits, with Charlie Lamb, Bill Thompson, Jeff Hultgren, and John Remhoff each having three for Sasso's. Thompson racked up five RBI, Lamb four, Jim Gilligan three, and Hultgren and Larry Anspach two each. Craig Cunningham and Fran Diotte each had four hits for DaVinci's, with Cunningham crushing a triple and Jack O'Brien walloped a three-run homer. Tom Whitlock also had three RBI for DaVinci's; Murph Knapke, Paul Shelton, and John Barrett each had two.
Joey's Pizza, 14, Crazy Flamingo, 11
The game was tied at 9-9 when Joey's scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to put the game away. It was a team effort for Joey's with 11 players knocking in runs. Don Rooksberry, Tony Brock, John Ranieri, and winning pitcher Bill Kaschube had two hits each. Al Cenicola and Gary Schneider buzzed three hits for Flamingo, with Joe Furst, Dom Fiorda and Bob Monaco having two each. One of Monaco's hits was a screaming line drive triple, giving him three RBI in the game.
Mutual of Omaha Bank, 13, ADKOS, 12
A last-inning rally, with ADKOS scoring five runs, came up one short. Dave Droddy continued his hot hitting streak with three hits, while Paul Burnett, Denny Davis and Steve Slaggie had two each. Burnett drove in four runs, Jerry Lenhoff, Bob Grimm and Droddy two each. Leon Schmitt and Jim Vitas lined three hits each for ADKOS; George Kirk, Leroy Fishleigh, and Fuzz Fazekas each had two. One of Fazekas hit's was a triple, giving him four RBI in the game, with Schmitt and Vitas having two each.
CJ's on the Bay, 9, Rookies, 8
Scoring four runs in the bottom of the sixth was enough for CJ's to earn a come-from-behind win. Dan Meir rapped three hits, one a triple, while Roger Fleming, Fran Roche, Warren Uhl, Jim O'Meara, and Lee Dilk had two hits each. Uhl, Meir and O'Meara had two RBI each for CJ's. Rookies' Larry Tuttle was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4. Teammates Nick Brooks, Ed Kopecky, and Tom Patterson had two hits each . Jim White and Patterson drove in two runs apiece.
Rookies, 9, ADKOS, 1
Dan O'Sullivan drilled four hits, Joe Kruse three, with teammates Nick Brooks, Larry Tuttle, John Gill, Dick Corley, and winning pitcher Ed Kopecky having two each, Kruse and Kopecky had three RBI each, with Brooks, Tuttle, and O'Sullivan each having two. Steve Roberts had tow hits for ADKOS with Leroy Fishleigh driving in two runs.
Joey's Pizza, 20, Mutual of Omaha Bank, 16
The Bank out-hit Joey's 21-6, but a multitude of walks led to the loss. Art Fletcher had two hits for Joey's. Fletcher, and John Ranieri recorded three RBI each, Rick Benedetti, Bob Grant, Darryl Judson, Bill Kaschube and Gary Grant two each. Bob Grimm had four hits, while George Bennett and John Gill lines three hits each, Jerry Lenhoff, Jack Stevenson, and Denny Davis two each for Joey's. Bennett, and Grimm each had three RBI and Stevenson had two.
CJ's on the Bay, 19, Crazy Flamingo, 12
Bob Smith and Dan Meir each ripped four hits, with Fran Roche, Bob Beaver, Jack Stevenson and Warren Uhl each having three and Roger Fleming, Jim O'Meara and Lee Dilk two each for CJ's. Uhl had seven RBI, four on a grand slam home run; Fleming chased home three, Roche, O'Meara, and Dilk two each. Joe Furst, Gary Schneider and Rich Larkin nailed two hits each for Flamingo with Furst having three RBI.
Rookies, 9, Joey's Pizza, 19
Rookies tied Joey's for first with the win in the Marco Division. Joe Kruse, Larry Tuttle, Joe Callahan and Dick Corley pounded out three hits each, while Nicks Brooks, John Gill, Jim Conway, Jim White, Ed Kopecky and Jake Jacobson had two each for Rookies. Tuttle chalked up five RBI, White, Conway and Kopecky had three each, with Kopecky's coming on a home run, and Dan O'Sullivan two RBI. Joey's Darryl Judson knocked out four hits, with Bob Grant, Tony Brock and John Ranieri having two each. Rick Benedetti and Ranieri drove in two runs each, Benedetti's coming on a home run.
CJ's on the Bay, 12, Crazy Flamingo, 10
It was the long ball that made the difference. Bob Smith crushed three triples, and Dan Meir and Fred Kramer blasted home runs for CJ's. Beside Smith, Warren Uhl and Lee Dilk laced three hits each and Roger Fleming and Kramer each two. Meir had three RBI and Kramer two. Buff Morris rapped three hits, with Joe Furst and Dick DeAnna having two each for Flamingo. Keith Stought and Rick Larkin drove in two runs each.
Mutual of Omaha Bank, 19, ADKOS, 6
In the first inning the Bank scored seven runs, more than enough for the win. Winning pitcher Butch Monson had four hits and four RBI. Teammates Dan Cody, Paul Burnett, Jerry Lenhoff and Dave Doddy each had three hits, George Bennett, and Larry Laird two each. Droddy and Jack Stevenson launched home runs. Droddy and Lenhoff ended up with four RBI, Stevenson three. Chet Dal Bianco drilled three hits, Jim Vitas and Bill Diamond two each for ADKOS. Vitas and Fuzz Fazekas each drove in two runs.
