East Naples home destroyed in fire

An East Naples home was destroyed Monday night in a fire.

Firefighters responded to an abandoned home on the 2600 block of Pineland Street, off U.S. 41 East, around 7 p.m. and found the house fully engulfed. Crews were able to put out the fire in less than an hour but said it was a total loss.

A state fire marshal from Cape Coral was being sent to investigate the fire’s cause, according to East Naples Fire Control and Rescue District.
