An Immokalee man faces two charges of attempted robbery after being accused of reaching into two men's pockets and trying to steal their phones and wallets.

The victims said they were standing outside their apartment on the 300 block of Colorado Avenue around 12:45 a.m. when a stranger came up to them and asked if they had money. One of the victims said he did not have any money, but the man reached into his pocket and tried to grab his phone, according to an arrest report.

The victim pushed him away, and the man then tried to grab a wallet from the other victim's pocket, reports said.

Deputies later identified the man as Travis Anthony Melton, 20, of the 100 block of White Way, according to reports. As of Monday, he remained at the Naples Jail Center on bonds totaling $20,000.
