San Marco Catholic

Living Your Strengths groups are forming now, andare based on Gallop's "Living Your Strengths" book. The Strengths Movement helps individuals discover and develop their talents within the church community. Books are $20 and are available in the parish office, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Groups are limited to 12 as follows: 7 to 9 p.m., today, Feb. 22, March 1, 8; 2 to 4 p.m., Feb. 17, 24 and March 3; or 1 to 3 p.m., Feb. 20, 27. Martha Gallagher's one-woman "Wild Harp and Winged Heart" show begins at 7 p.m., Saturday in the parish center. Her show blends folksy tales of family and friends with a polished performance of original songs and arrangements from classical to blues, jazz and rock. Tickets are $20; students are free. All proceeds to benefit the San Marco Catholic Youth.

New Life Community Church

Enriching Your Personal Prayer Life, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and led by Doug Small. Small recently led a prayer rally in Miami attended by 20,000. Preregistration required, $25 per person, includes lunch; call the church.

Ladies Bible Study featuring Beth Moore, Deuteronomy "The Law of Love." 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Tuesdays for six weeks, Feb. 19 to March 26. Call 239-394-3469.

Wesley United Methodist Church

Hyssongs in Concert, 10 a.m., Sunday. The family group blends brass instruments into their vocal harmonies and humor. The award-winning trio consistently has top 40 songs on the radio charts. They perform more than 250 times each year in churches, auditoriums, gospel cruises, television and radio.

The church will host the Naples Philharmonic 8 p.m., Feb. 27 and March 8. Tickets and information are available at the Philharmonic website or by calling 597-1900.

The church is accepting donations for its Nearly New Rummage Sale and Car Wash 1 to 3 p.m. March 14 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 15. Sale is8 a.m. to noon March 16. Contact Marsha at 389-6713 for donations; please no clothes, shoes or large appliances. Love offerings for the Boy Scout car wash are most appreciated.

Marco Presbyterian Church

"Music for the Soul" Concert Series continues with contemporary Christian singer, songwriter and recording artist Nathan Clark George, 6 p.m., Sunday. His combination of melodic finger-style guitar, original compositions and time-honored hymns appeal to all ages. Free, an offering will be received.

On Feb. 22 Answers Conference presented by Ken Ham, president and CEO of Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum: 7 p.m., Communicating the Gospel in Today's World and 8:30 p.m., Science Confirms the Bible. Ham shares the truths of the Bible beginning with Genesis 1:1 as he presents creation topics at conferences worldwide. 30th Annual Marco Island Prayer Breakfast

The Annual Prayer Breakfast will be held 7:30 a.m., Feb. 19 at the Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort, 400 South Collier Blvd. Marco Island. The doors open at 7 a.m. and the event concludes at 9 a.m. The guest speaker is Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family and host of its National Radio Hall of Fame-honored daily broadcast. His personal journey from orphan to head of an international Christian organization dedicated to helping families thrive is a powerful story. Mega Ministries Mega Praise Team and the Marco Island Charter Middle School Jazz Band will provide music. "Everything You Wanted to Know About Religion But Were Afraid to Ask," 7 p.m. Feb. 21. A panel of clergy will host a question and answer program at Marco Lutheran Church, free. March program to be announced.

Jewish Congregation of Marco Island

Breakfast with the Rabbi Adult Education series 9:30 a.m., March 3, "Christian Interpretations of the Prophetic Tradition."

St. Mark's Episcopal Church

Camp Jeffrey, a camp for challenged or disabled children and young adults, meets from 1 to 3 p.m., Tuesdays, and serves as a respite for the caregivers of the campers now through April. Volunteers stretch the abilities of the campers while engaging them in gentle physical and mental activities. Newcomers are welcome. The church would also like to expand their volunteer base. Friends of Music Lenten Concert: The Passion According to St. John by J.S. Bach, 3 p.m., March 3. A Southwest Florida premier performance, the Bach Ensemble of Naples with guest choristers from Europe, professional soloists and orchestra conducted by Dr. Ronald Doiron. St. Finbarr Parish

Bishop Frank Dewane will celebrate Mass 10 a.m., March 3 as the parish commemorates its second anniversary. A 3 p.m. social hour will be followed by dinner with the bishop at 4 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $20; reserve early, seating is limited. Call the parish office for information and tickets.

GriefShare

GriefShare a weekly, Christian seminar/support group offers a combination of practical strategies and helpful Biblical insights for individuals grieving the death of a loved one; a safe place to find comfort, hope and healing. Information visit www.griefshare.org.

Wesley United Methodist Church group meets at6 p.m., Tuesdays. Each session, which lasts approximately two hours, consists of a DVD lesson, workbook exercises and a group discussion. Light refreshments are served. The one-time registration fee of $20 to join includes a workbook and unlimited visits. Scholarships are available. The group meets year-round.
