North Naples man arrested in 'broken' gate
Frustrated the code didn't work to get through the gate of his North Naples neighborhood, a man took the matter into his own hands, investigators say.
Collier investigators said Joshua Sydney broke the hinges on an iron gate and snapped off the traffic arm bar to get to his home in the 1900 block of Manchester Circle.
On Friday, two weeks after surveillance video documented what occurred, the 23-year-old Sydney was arrested, accused of felony criminal mischief after the damages to the gates were assessed at about $1,150.
Sydney told deputies he was tired that night when he arrived around 2 a.m. and didn't want to call and disturb anyone to let him into the neighborhood, an arrest report states.
■ Tommy Joe Addison, 37, and Dominique Khachab, 20, both of the 5300 block of Floridan Ave., East Naples, were arrested Friday at their home by Collier deputies. Addison faces five cocaine-related felony charges and two misdemeanor drug charges. Khachab is accused of one felony charge of cocaine possession, and two misdemeanor drug charges.
