Deputies: Two men, mom arrested in connection with home invasion

Collier County sheriff’s deputies arrested three people late Tuesday for the connection with a Golden Gate home invasion robbery earlier in the day.

Around 3:30 p.m., two men with rifles burst into a home at 5354 19th Ave. S.W., Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jamie Mosbach said. A neighbor called authorities and the suspects fled into the woods.

Deputies searched the area and located the alleged robbers, Mosbach said.

Brian Santos and Richard Slaby, both 22, are both facing charges of felony home invasion robbery.

Deputies believe Slaby’s mother, Pamela Slaby, 51, was involved with planning the robbery. She is also facing a charge of home invasion robbery as well as a charge of tampering with evidence.

No one was injured in the robbery, Mosbach said. No shots were fired.
