A 22-year-old Bonita Springs man charged with DUI manslaughter in the August 2011 crash that killed his friend is back in jail for violating his pretrial release.

Michael Jucksch, who had been released on $75,000 bond, didn’t show up for two separate drug and alcohol screenings in early February. He was booked into jail on a warrant Tuesday, with his bond revoked.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Jucksch was driving a 2000 Ford Explorer when it hit a curb and overturned on Bonita Beach Road near Faygin Lane. Andrew “A.J.” Walker, 19, was ejected from the back seat and died from his injuries. Jucksch suffered serious injuries, while another passenger had minor injuries.

Troopers determined alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Jucksch, who doesn’t have a prior criminal record in Southwest Florida, faces up to 15 years in prison on the manslaughter charge.
