SW Florida weather: Stalled front means wet Wednesday

File photo

Tuesday's passing cool front that delivered some brief afternoon showers is in the process of stalling out over Southwest Florida, which means clouds and even a few more showers will linger through our Wednesday.

Some periods of sunshine will still be possible at times today, but clouds will likely win out over sunshine for most of us. As a result of the cloud cover, temperatures should stay out of the 80s today with most spots only warming into the mid to upper 70s for daytime highs.

Temperatures will continue to take incremental steps down from Thursday through the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be the coolest days with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
