An East Naples woman is behind bars after a video surfaced of her beating a child, according to Collier County authorities.
Detectives found the video on a cellphone belonging to the woman’s boyfriend, who agreed to let them view four such videos. The snippets, taken over a six-minute period on Jan. 3, show Nicole Danielle Morgan hitting a child on a bed, then punching him in the head, according to an arrest report.
Morgan tells the child and her boyfriend that “I don’t give a (expletive),” detectives reported. The child is heard yelling, “Stop,” and the boyfriend told Morgan to “stop hitting him like that.”
Morgan, 37, whose address is listed as the St. Matthew’s House homeless shelter, faces a felony charge of child abuse without great harm.
