Naples Police Chief Tom Weschler was named the 2012 Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by the Southwest Florida Police Chiefs Association.
Weschler received the honor for his extensive professional career, his principle-centered leadership, and his visionary pursuit of efficiency and excellence in the provision of public safety services to the citizens of Naples, according to a news release.
The Southwest Florida Police Chiefs Association is a coalition of Southwest Florida chief executives and command officers from local police departments, sheriff's offices and state and federal agencies.
