Two men were arrested on felony charges early Tuesday after they were accused of stealing cardboard from a Target store.

Around 12:10 a.m., a security officer from Texas said he was watching the store at 2324 Pine Ridge Road remotely on surveillance cameras when he noticed two men loading cardboard bales into a white truck behind the store.

The security officer said Target recycles the bales for about $300 each.

Deputies pulled over a suspect vehicle on Airport-Pulling Road and searched the truck with consent of the driver, according to an arrest report. Inside, they found three of the cardboard bales.

Juan M. Gonzalez, 42, of Hialeah, Fla., and Alexis Rodriguez, 48, of Hialeah Gardens, Fla., each face one count of grand theft. Rodriguez also was named on three warrants out of Port St. Lucie, reports said.
