Another Chase bank branch is slated to open in North Naples this fall.
The estimated 4,300-square-foot branch will open at the southwest corner of Immokalee Road and Juliet Boulevard, west of Interstate 75 in North Naples.
Construction is slated to begin in April and the branch is expected to open in late November, said Seth Swisher, regional director of real estate of Boos Development Group.
For the past two years, JPMorgan Chase & Co. has been expanding in Southwest Florida.
"Chase has been growing aggressively in Florida and added nearly 50 new branches across the state in 2012," said Maribel Ferrer, Chase spokeswoman, in an email.
Chase is opening more branches because it wants to accommodate current customers and draw in more business.
Chase has a total of 332 branches in Florida — nine in Lee and six in Collier counties.
In 2012, it added six branches in Collier and Lee counties, including two in Lee and four in Collier.
"We added more than 60 jobs in the market as a result of the expansion," Ferrer said.
In 2013, Chase plans to open five branches in Southwest Florida — four in Collier and one in Lee. Three branches in Collier are under construction: 680 Fifth Ave S., Naples; 2480 Vanderbilt Beach Road, North Naples; and 960 Collier Blvd. N., Marco Island.
"We estimate that we will add 70 to 80 jobs in 2013 for all the new branches," she said. "As we continue to expand we will add more jobs."
Ferrer said she didn't have any specifics for the new Collier branch, but each new office employs about 10 to 12 people.
Chase believes its commitment to hiring bankers and managers who listen to customers' needs and build relationships is what makes it a great bank.
Boos Development Group purchased 1.45 acres of vacant land for $1.85 million from A. Grover Matheney, trustee at the end of December 2011.
This will be the seventh Chase branch that Boos Development Group has built in the past two years.
Swisher said he doesn't expect to see that same number of new Chase branches opening in Collier County.
But, "if the right opportunity arose, they would still expand," he said.
Chase showed interest in Florida when it converted 200 Washington Mutual branches to Chase branches in 2009.
Nationally, JPMorgan Chase Bank NA is third after Bank of America NA and Wells Fargo Bank NA in total domestic deposits, according to a June 30, 2010, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. report. In Collier and Lee counties, JPMorgan Chase Bank NA is 22nd, with $180,078 in deposits or 0.79 percent of the market share, according to a 2010 FDIC report.
