Hoping a bigger reward will get someone to talk, the Sanibel Police Department is offering $25,000 for information leading to the arrest of a person or group of people responsible for 15 burglaries of beachfront properties over the past two months.
Police said the burglaries began around Thanksgiving, with most taking place in the later afternoon and evening. All of the homes were between the 500 block of East Gulf Drive and the 3400 block of West Gulf Drive.
All of the homes were broken into through unlocked doors, according to police.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477), visit online at www.swflcrimestoppers.com or texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) with keyword "reward."
