Kiprono Kurgat of Kenya became the seventh straight African to win the men's race at the 2013 Naples Daily News Half Marathon on Sunday morning at Cambier Park.
Kurgat finished in 1 hour, 3 minutes and 37.7 seconds. Ernest Kebenei was second in 1:05:24.5.
Belainesh Gebre of Ethiopia won the women's race for the third time in four years in 1:11:54.2. Hellen Jemutai was second in 1:13:13.7. Gebre, who lives in Flagstaff, Ariz., also won in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
