Zachary Thomas Imbriano, 19, of the 2200 block of Malibu Lakes Circle, North Naples, was arrested Saturday by Collier deputies and is facing two charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, without intent to kill; two charges of battery on a law enforcement officer; two charges of resisting an officer with violence; misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia; and felony criminal mischief.
Two people said a man, later identified as Imbriano, was driving around the neighborhood and passing their house several times and making rude hand gestures, the report stated. So the two people, identified as victims in the police report, entered their vehicle and followed the vehicle to a house in the neighborhood, the report stated.
When deputies arrived, Imbriano's passenger told them the victims arrived with a baseball bat and beat Imbriano's vehicle. When no evidence showed that to be true, deputies said, they requested Imbriano be contacted to return to the scene.
Imbriano returned in the same vehicle and refused to exit his car. Deputies said they grabbed Imbriano to get him out of the car, but he hit them across the head with his keys and lunged at the deputies. A struggle ensued and deputies eventually called EMS for Imbriano's injuries.
Imbriano was transported to NCH North Collier Hospital where he told the physicians he was high on marijuana and an unknown drug called, "the future." He said it is a liquid that is ingested through a piece of chewing gum.
He was taken to the Naples Jail Center, once cleared from the hospital.
