It's Your Business: Next free Collier clerk seminar is Feb. 13

Dwight E. Brock, Collier County Clerk of the Circuit Court, has announced two free, public seminars for this winter.

The seminars have attracted more than 100 people per session so it's recommended that people sign up in advance with the library location where the program is scheduled.

A seminar on residential tenant evictions is from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 13 at the South Regional Library, 8065 Lely Cultural Parkway. The next one, on searching public records using CollierClerk.com, is from 2 to 4 p.m. March 26 at Naples Regional Library, 650 Central Ave.

Woolley new chair of PRSA district

Cyndee Woolley has been elected to chair the Sunshine District of the Public Relations Society of America.

The district represents seven chapters and more than 1,500 members of the nationwide public relations association.

Woolley, the owner of Naples-based C2 Communications, a public relations, marketing and community outreach consulting firm, also chairs the Leadership Collier Foundation Alumni Association Marketing Committee.

The public relations group is the largest professional organization serving the U.S. public relations community. Information: www.prsa.org

Airport valet to deliver toiletry items

Executive Valet Airport Parking collected more than 1,000 toiletry items in November and December for the Abuse Counseling and Treatment Center.

The items will be given to Jennifer Benton, CEO of the center, at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The items will be picked up at Executive Valet Airport Parking, 14500 Global Parkway, Fort Myers.

The toiletries will be used for the more than 80 women and children currently living at the ACT Shelter.

Executive Valet plans to make this an annual event beginning during the Thanksgiving holidays through the end of the year, the busiest travel days of the year and the busiest time at ACT.

Coffee, pastry bar now open at casino

Cappuccino's Coffee and Pastry Bar is now open at Seminole Casino Immokalee.

The bar features items including muffins, cakes, doughnuts and tarts. Coffee is freshly ground and then brewed to diners' liking for flavor and style. Specialty drinks include cappuccino, espresso, hazelnut café, French vanilla crème, café mocha, Kona coffee and more.
