— A 27-year-old East Naples man was arrested after police used a Taser to subdue him at a Naples sports bar Sunday night.

Randall Patrick Williams, 27, of the 1000 block of Port Avenue, East Naples, was arrested by Naples police officers early Monday in the 800 block of Bayfront Place.

Five officers were dispatched to Bayfront at 9:40 p.m. Sunday in the rear of the bar because of a fight. Officers said they saw Williams, who was bleeding from his mouth and nose, cut through a hedge to get to his car and refused to stop when officers called him.

He got into his vehicle and one of the police officers used a Taser to stop Williams, who then fell to the ground. Williams was taken into custody without incident.

According to witnesses at the restaurant, Williams had been inside drinking and got into several altercations and was asked to leave. He became aggressive with an assistant manager and they got into a physical altercation, police reported. Williams was escorted outside and began acting violently and tried to spit on the assistant restaurant manager who held him to the ground until police arrived, reports stated.
