A 18-year-old woman is accused of threatening a witness in a pending criminal case.

Mireya Maldonado, of the 3100 block of Connecticut Avenue, East Naples, was arrested Friday by Collier deputies at her home.

Maldonado called a female witness in an undisclosed criminal case involving a friend on three separate occasions and threatened her if she testified, according to the arrest report.

Maldonado warned the witness "she would be sorry" and told her not to go to court.

Investigators said they discovered Maldonado bragging to another co-defendant in the case about getting the witness to stay silent. Maldonado is accused of saying "NOFACENOCASE (-------- ENOUGH SAID."

She faces a first-degree felony for obstruction of justice.
