A 23-year-old man is accused of robbing an Immokalee convenience store early Friday morning.

Timothy Douglas Tucker, of the 12000 block of 3rd Avenue, Cape Coral, was arrested by Collier deputies on State Road 29.

A Circle K clerk told deputies that a man matching Tucker's description came into the store after 3 a.m., went to the bathroom, and then came out acting aggressively and demanding money. Tucker jumped the counter of the store and took $100 in cash out of the register and $100 in lottery tickets, according to the arrest report.

The clerk was able to record the tag number of Tucker's car and deputies caught him a short time later.

Tucker told deputies he robbed the store to pay a gambling debt, according to the arrest report. Deputies recovered the lottery tickets and $9.50.

Tucker faces a first-degree felony of unarmed robbery and a misdemeanor of petty theft.
